Kaleigh Wilder is the Program Assistant Director for Young People Travel (YPT) Global Edge. She brings a wealth of knowledge from her own international travels into her work with Young People Travel Global Edge by creating the Learning Journey online programs, planning itineraries and travel-based activities for students and families, and managing a team of interns. She attended Ball State University for her bachelor’s degree and the University of Michigan for her master’s degree, both of which are in music performance. She also holds a minor in German and a graduate certificate in World Performance Studies.
Kaleigh has traveled abroad on several occasions through her music studies, offering distinctly unique experiences to share with YPT Global Edge. She has performed across the United States, Central Europe, Central America, and West Africa. She has also performed at noteworthy festivals and venues such as the Montreux Jazz Festival, Ann Arbor Summer Festival, New Music Detroit’s Strange Beautiful Music Festival, Kerrytown Concert House, Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, Vertigo Jazz Club, and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra Cube. Kaleigh brings her expertise as a performer and world traveler into her work as Program Assistant Director and hopes to ignite a love for travel in the students who are part of Young People Travel Global Edge.
